Is there a person out there that doesn’t love Oprah? We sure do! She is everything this site is about! When you say “successful business woman,” her name is the first thing that comes to mind. I want to send her a pair of glass heels! ForbesWoman posted an article today on “How to Lead Like Oprah.”
I love that the first rule is to invest in great people. This might surprise some who would think that your own ambition and drive would be first and foremost. To be the best, you have to surround yourself with the best. Someone once told me “If you have good people, profits will come.” “O” would agree! I recommend viewing the rest of the rules. It all seems like common sense, but it’s clear that the bottom line and profits were never her drive. She had a vision, and it involved good people and a desire to continuing to learn, expand her talents and achieve. She focused on being leader first, and the billionaire title was just a nice little side effect.
